Dusty Viewfinders and Cyclists

Did y’all know my folks used to live in a Westfalia before deciding to have a baby human? They traveled the United States with a camcorder and a tiny tent. They broke even every month by selling VHS tapes of cross country tours to cyclists (hippies before 2019 hipsters). The first five years of my life were spent on the road; observing the world through dew covered mesh, backseat windows, and a dusty viewfinder. There is something freeing about reconnecting with the sparks that first ignited inspiration. I hope to one day provide similar rich experiences for my family.

I’m thankful for my mother today and all the ways she has always encouraged us to explore.
